We had multiple calls with different schools, weighing their academics, tennis programs, and coaching staffs. But none of them truly clicked. Until we found St. Thomas University, an NAIA school located in Miami Gardens, Florida.
From the moment Bauti connected with the coach at St. Thomas, things started to fall into place. The program had the intensity and competitive spirit he was looking for, the location was perfect, and the school offered the right academic support for his goals. And as an added bonus—it’s located just minutes away from one of the most iconic events in tennis: the Miami Open Masters 1000.
The combination of top-tier training weather, city life, and a tennis culture that runs deep made St. Thomas feel like home. We knew it—and so did Bauti.
Now, Bauti is set to continue his tennis journey at a school that reflects his energy, ambition, and drive. We couldn’t be more excited for him as he begins this next chapter in the heart of Miami.
